DIRECT ENTRY
As of 2026, Midwest Line College has increased the criteria for direct entry into Missouri Valley:
Academically: students must now achieve an overall GPA of 85% or higher, cannot fail the same test twice, must pass at least 50% of LMS tests on the first attempt, and must earn 80% or higher on the final exam.
Skill assessments: students must pass 80% or more of the required competencies on their first attempt.
Attitude assessments: students must meet expectations on behavior, professionalism, and work ethics.
After a student has successfully graduated MLC, met the new 2026 direct entry standards and met all Missouri Valley JATC minimum requirements, that student MAY then be qualified for direct entry into the Missouri Valley JATC Apprenticeship, based on work demand. Students have 6 months to apply to Missouri Valley JATC to use the direct entry.
Graduation requirements for MLC are not the same as Direct Entry requirements into Missouri Valley JATC.
